Privacy Policy for Rack-n-Roll

Rack-n-Roll ("the App") is operated by an individual developer ("we," "us," or "the developer"). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices. Use of the App is also governed by our Terms and Conditions.

1. Information we collect

• Account information: name and email address. If you create an email-and-password account, we also store a password (only as a secure hash). See Google Sign-In below if you use that option instead.
• Google Sign-In (optional): If you choose "Continue with Google," Google authenticates you and we receive your name, email address, and a unique Google account identifier. We use this information only to create or sign in to your Rack-n-Roll account. We do not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, contacts, calendar, photos, or other Google services, and we do not receive or store your Google password.
• Tournament and app usage data: tournament registrations, roles (such as host, player, or score editor), scores, and related activity you submit in the App.
• Authentication data: a session token may be stored on your device so you stay signed in.
• Password reset: if you use forgot-password, we process your email and a one-time PIN to verify your identity.

We do not intentionally collect payment card data in the App.

2. How we use information

• Create and manage your account
• Provide tournament discovery, registration, hosting, and scoring features
• Authenticate you and protect the service
• Send password-reset messages when you request them (if email delivery is enabled)
• Maintain security and fix bugs

3. Where data is stored and processed

Data is stored in cloud databases and processed by application servers used to run the App (for example, hosted database and API providers). Data may be processed in the United States or other regions where those providers operate.

4. Sharing with third parties

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help operate the App (such as hosting, database, and email delivery), when required by law, or to protect rights and safety. Tournament hosts and authorized score editors may see information needed to run tournaments you join (for example, your name or email in host or scoring workflows).

If you sign in with Google, authentication is handled by Google under Google's Privacy Policy. Rack-n-Roll receives only the basic account information described in Section 1 (name, email, and account identifier). We do not share your Rack-n-Roll data back to Google beyond what is required for sign-in.

5. Retention

We keep account and tournament data while your account is active or as needed to provide the App. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us (see Section 9).

6. Security

We use reasonable technical measures such as hashed passwords and HTTPS for API communication. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

7. Your choices and rights

• You can update profile information in the App where available.
• You can sign out to remove the session token stored on your device.
• You may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us.

8. Children

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. We will post the new version at this URL and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
